The world of cataloging is changing rapidly. The last decade has seen a vast amount of change and libraries are faced with a wide variety of new challenges every day. School libraries are an important part of our community and our children's education. It is believed that the next few years will produce more dramatic changes than the school library has seen in many years. The world is changing and school libraries are facing challenges in how materials are cataloged, and in teaching children how to find information. Over the next few years, school librarians will be witnessing what that change will look like and how it will effect the library as we know it today (Fasick & Holt, 2013). It is critical that school librarians work together to secure the world of school libraries and help it along into the coming years of change.
